What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain And Bloating Post Gall Bladder Removal?
I have had my gallbladder taken out 4years ago. Recently I feel discomfort when eating like before I had it removed. 3days ago I woke up to swollen abdomen and very rumble stomach. Along with terrible pain which goes from severe to not quite as severe. Will not go away in my shoulder blade. Don t no if the two are related to each other or not. But on and off I really feel quite. Unwell.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Problems like post cholecystectomy syndrome or pancreatitis can be suspected in your case. Ultrasound examination will be helpful to rule out this. Adjustments in diet will be helpful. Avoid fatty, greasy, fried and junk foods. Carbonated drinks, alcohol and coffee should be avoided also. Taking proton pump inhibitors like esomeprazole ( Nexium ) will be helpful. A consultation with your surgeon is well appreciated if there is no improvement.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
