What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain And Excessive Salivation?
Hi doctor, im a 16 year old, I was rushing to finish a project last night and ended up sleeping around 2am. when i got to bed, i was already feeling tired. As i was trying to sleep, all of a sudden, i felt a sharp pain in my stomach, and excessive saliva produced. I dont know how long it lasted because i fell asleep
Hi! Good morning. I am Dr Shareef answering your query. As the symptom you experienced got subsided of its own, I would not consider it to be of any serious nature. With all possibilities, you had a regurgitation of your stomach contents into your mouth both due to exhaustion and anxiety. If I were your doctor, I would advise you to avoid food from outside, and go for a proton pump inhibitor along with a prokinetic agent and a probiotic for a short duration on consultation with your family physician.
I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.
Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. I wish you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
