The ovarian cyst causes pressure and severe pain. At times, it get rotated on its stalk which is called torsion and is a medical emergency due to disruption of blood supply. Ovarian cysts are managed conservatively or with hormonal therapy or with surgery according to the size and symptoms. You can take NSAIDs like Paracetamol and Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen for pain.
