General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Hyperacidity needs a few lifestyle changes in addition to medicine. You should start observing them.
-Have bland, cold food (non-spicy, non-oily). Have small servings every 2-3 hours.
-Avoid tea or coffee/alcohol
-Avoid fast or over eating.
-Have plenty of water
-Have good motions (add fibers to diet)
-Avoid psychological stress.
- Take cold milk to combat burning pain in the abdomen. You can have it half a cup every 2 hourly.
-Continue treatment suggested gastroenterologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
