What Causes Severe Acne On Chest,back And Face?

My 16 yr old son has severe acne on chest , back and face ! It s so bad that when he showers and drys off the towel is covered in blood , he says it s so painful playing football when he gets hit !! I m looking for the best treatment for him that works fast ! I feel so sorry for him !!! Please help !!

Hello.

Your son appears to be suffering from a severe acne. It is quite common in this age and can be managed effectively if treated properly. If i were your son's treating physician I would recommend
1. Clindamycin phosphate gel to be applied twice daily.
2. daily use of sun screens.
3. use of medicated soaps designed especially for acne.
4. vitamin C creams to reduce the scarring.

If the acne is severe your son may have to take a course of antibiotics and vitamin A creams and capsules....for that i would recommend consulting your local dermatologist as the dose of these medicines need to be strictly monitored.
