Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve had relatively painful aching in my anus throughout the last couple of days, as well as some problems related to that over the last couple weeks. I ve been thinking this is either hemorrhoids or pelvic floor dysfunction. I took some prep h earlier today and now I m just taking some valium and the problem has subsided quite a bit. My question is, would the Valium help with the pelvic floor spasms and the hemorrhoids. Or would it be one or the other? (valium for the spasms and prep h for the hemorrhoids) Just trying to determine the root of my symptoms...thanks!
As per your history is concerned please follow my advise below:
1) Add fiber in diet at least 30 gms every day (fruits and vegetables )or you can use one fiber supplement [cremaffin fiber]
2) Do morning walk and evening walk everyday as well as exercise regularly and drink more than 8 glass of water everyday
3) Make a time to go to toilet everyday and at same time, do not suppress your desire
4) Use stool softener when needed [cremaffin plus 3 teaspoonful with milk at bedtime] when needed
5) Do pelvic floor exercise regularly [sleep flat on floor and raise your two legs up to 90 degree and try to keep in that position at least one mins so try to do 10 times before going to toilet
This method will solve all your problems if any problem after it let me know,
I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me. Wishing you all the best.
Thanks, Dr. Uday Nath Sahoo
