Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
When I go for a walk I have always experienced outer calf/ankle pain which makes it very painful to walk because my legs feel so heavy and ache terribly. I have history of severe ankle sprains, both left and right, 3 bulging disc on left side of my lower back, 2 bulging disc in my neck right side. I try not to take pain killers and live with the pain mostly. I am walking between 3-5km per night but after the first 5-10 min I the tight, ache heavy keg pain is unbearable.... What could be wrong? Do I need to get it checked out?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if this is the disc degenerative condition of spine then better to avoid walking till you managed the illness, second it may be due to muscular spasm, lactic acid deposition, underlying cause of the pain is matter of concern and it may need numbers of test, till then better stop walking drink more water, hope this information helps.
