What Causes Severe Anxiety Attacks?

I have been taking mucinex d for several days and now experiencing severe anxiety attacks and can't sleep. Feeling very anxious! How soon will it leave my system? What can I do until it wears off. I didn't take any yesterday but still having the anxiety. Finally bought some sleeping pills and it help some but now it's the next day and still feeling the anxiety. What can I do???

Take more water, you can also take - etizolam 0.5 mg twice a day in morning and afternoon (for one - two days).
usually the effect goes away easily in one or two days but may take upto a week.

please donot worry, it is a common side effect but yes, disturbing enough.

Can take zolpidem 5-10mg for sleep for few days, then stop it.
