What Causes Severe Back Pain During Pregnancy?

Hi doc,Im pregnet & spending my 31st week.(27 years old).Im having a severe back pain which started from last night.Im continuously suffering till this noon.My docter wanted me to do a UFR urine culter!I just wanted to know, is this normal in pregnancy? Why I should do an UFR?

hi,pain at 31 weeks is not a good sign it can mean that you are going into preterm labour.you must be on bed rest start tab duva 10 mg twice daily and go for a urine routine test as uti is the commonest cause for preterm labour and if untreated can cause preterm delivery.if treated in time it will result in normal pregnancy outcome.all the best take care.
