Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a knee surgery almost ten years ago. My knee cap was shattered in three places. I don t know if the procedure was called a reduction or not but they used wire to wire it all together . I have a bad back and fell causing the wiring to get displaced. It has been months now and have just been dealing with pain because I have severe back pain any way and just got off major doses of narcotics and you name it I have had all the major hard drugs they almost killed me. Back to the knee ... It seems one of the wires keeps breaking the skin and causing it to bleed some times but some times it is a clear sticky liquid(platlets maybe?).. It has been doing this for months. There is no swelling or discoloration of skin just a big bump on my kneecap. it does feel warm o the touch and lately my vision has been actig up and I just don t feel right. I am on disability because of back issues and several surgeries what should I do ?

What Causes Severe Back Pain Post A Knee Surgery?
Hello, It could be due to spinal anaesthesia used for the surgery. As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persists better to consult a physician and get evaluated. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
