What Causes Severe Backache And Headache Along With Fever?

Yesterday afternoon I started having sever back pain and my head start hurting. I ran a temperature of 101.6 and it s now 101 and the pain in my back is just getting stronger. It hurts to walk, if I breathe the wrong way. It even hurts to carry my daughter. I work at an assisted living facility and am supposed to work tonight. What should I do

Hi,
thank you for your question at healthcare magic.
Your symptoms point at a number of possibilities.
It could either be a viral fever like dengue fever which can cause a characteristic back ache and as it is called break bone fever, or it could be Chikungunya fever which also affects joints including the sacro pelvic joints.
You may even have urinary tract infection as there is both low back pain and fever.
In order to identify the cause, you could simply get total blood count done.
Plenty of rest and fluid intake is a must.
