Hi,
Not knowing any other information about you such as age, gender, race, other medical issues, medications you are currently on, etc. there isn't enough information.
If a
rheumatologist has seen you and is not coming up with anything then, it is likely they've done what would be considered an inflammatory workup for you looking for metabolic markers for things such as lupus, Sjogren's,
rheumatoid arthritis, gout, vasculitis, etc.
If they are not finding much in the way of markers then, either it is too early in the process to detect anything or you don't have an inflammatory or rheumatological process.
You may wish to speak with a geneticist about inborn errors of
metabolism or a
neurologist about neuromuscular processes that could result in hyperactivation of muscles after strenuous activity, could this be something such as
polymyositis or polymyalgia rheumatica?
Again, not a whole lot in your initial presented data for any of these entities but systemic inflammation of a rheumatological nature does not seem to be where it's at either.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dariush Saghafi, Neurologist
