Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hey I was pushed on the floor hit my head really hard and pushed down in the bathtub and hit my head really hard. There s no swelling nor did I pass out. When I woke up I wasn t able to sit up and balance my head I was doing okay except for now and then when I bend forward or over I feel wierd light headed and dizzy. Do I need to have a scan?
You should be seen by a doctor and possibly have a scan. If you have severe bruising on your scalp with these symptoms, I would want to get a CT scan. The bruising in the scalp may also be connected with bruising in the brain, that is an epidural or subdural hematoma and could be very serious. An injury can occur and the symptoms actually not develop for several days or even weeks if the internal bleeding is slow. So go to emergency and get checked out. Depending on your exam and other factors, the doctor most likely will order a scan. Hope this helps.
