What Causes Severe Burning Sensation In The Lower Abdomen?

I am having what I think is a UTI...severe lower abdominal burning . I have had it before in the last 6 months...I was having the same kind of pain but not as bad. My doctor gave me an antibiotic ...the pain went away...this time it seems worse. I will call the doctor in the a.m. Does it sound like the UTI is back? I have reaumatoid and are given Methatrexate shot weekly. Also on Xeljanz.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The symptoms are more likely suggestive of urinary tract infection (UTI). Consult a general practitioner and get a urine culture and start antibiotics accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
