Hi, First issue: I always have had gastric issues, indication is mostly burping and its everyday thing.I noticed it usually happenes after drinking tea. Second Issue: A year ago I had backache problem I waited for month to try my own medication because I felt its due to my sitting job. After a month I had to go to doctor when it became severe, he asked me to undergo X ray of lower back and vitamin D test.X Ray showed weak bones and vitamin D defeciency. Then I was given vitamin D injection twice in 2 weeks. He also recommended Vitamin D and calcium capsules for 1 month and some exercise. He asked me to get the vitamin D test again after a month. Second Vitamin D test result showed good numbers and my back ache issue also disappeared. Gastric however was not treated by any doctor.1 month ago I started taking omeprazole once in a day suggested by a doctor but the problem remains as it is also backache problem arised after a 4 days trip where most of the time I was sitting. I don t know if this 2 issues are inter related or they are seperate issues. Back ache is just due to the deficiency of vitamin D and Calcium. Please suggest if I should go and see a doctor or they are seperate issue can be treated by avoiding gastric creating food and suppliments for Vit D and calcium. Thanks
* As per my clinical experience, the issue of severe burping after drinking tea is suggestive of acute gastritis induced by stomach acid secreted by parietal cells.
* There may be an associated deficiency of protective mucus and prostaglandins from various issues.
* Though primary relief with antacid is a usual concern, I recommend undertaking an upper GI endoscopy for the final diagnosis and cure in accordance to that only.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
