What Causes Severe Chest Pain Along With Difficulty In Breathing?

I m having pain on my left side at the top part of my rib cage. I fell three days ago and thought it might be a broken rib. But the pain has gotten worse, even just breathing. I m a 63 year old female and all my siblings have all had surgery to remove their gallbladder. Would it have anything to do with that?

thanks for posting .... well you had a fall so the pain might be due to that fall...take some pain killers and muscle relaxants for pain relief...please have an x ray done to rule out any other cause ....moreover it has nothing to do with your gall bladder
