What Causes Severe Chest Pain And Profuse Sweating While Treating Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome?
My daughter was rushed to ER after fainting, chest pains and sweating. Found out she had blood clots in her lungs. Test revealed that they did not start in legs or lower region. She had recently gone off of birth control after two months of use. Doctor failed to look at that fact as a possible cause. But her research proves that it is a great factor. She is 35 otherwise healthy, she has a genetic disorder Ehler Danlos Syndrome. How should she proceed in her treatment? Does it matter what caused the blood clots?
The estrogen is a major predisposing factor for the development of deep venous thrombosis with pulmonary embolism. CT with angiography best reveals the details of pathology involved in the said vessels along with blood clotting profile to fix the issue at its best with in hospital care.
After the acute episode is stabilized, she will require preventive measures with certain medications to prevent future flare up as well.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
