Hello, My Father is in the hospital and he Felt chest pain on 24/10/2016 and went to emergency then the doctors said he had a clot in the back artery of the heart and had some clot medications and stayed in the ICU for 3 days then he felt fine and then today he had troponin CKMB analysis and the result turned to be 3.95 ng/ml and the normal is up to(0.08) said by the report I don t know what does it mean and the doctors here said it is normal to be this way and it needs about 48 hours for the enzyme levels to be lowered, I don t know the right thing to do and I m worried does he need a cardiac catheterization? Pardon my english

Yes, troponin and CPK and LDH etc rise after a cardiac event but they normalise after some days.
The point is that they should not rise again. Your cardiologist is right.
