Hello,
I just read your query. The pain in the left side of chest is commonly related to heart problems and problem in stomach.
* As in your case the hiatus hernia is diagnosed. In hiatus hernia some part of stomach is pushed out of diaphragm.
* Initially hiatus hernia may be asymptomatic, but later on may produce symptoms like hyperacidity, pain in chest etc. and you need to take symptomatic treatment for that.
* But if the pain is unbearable then you need to consult your gastro enterologist again so that he can examine you and if you would further need any investigation he can recommend you.
*I hope you find my answer helpful.
Thank you.
