What Causes Severe Cold?

I have the cold that is going around for over 6 weeks. The cold has subsided all but the cough which gets bad enough to make me sick. I have started coughing little bits of hard mucus that tastes like metal. Is this something to worry over and how can I get it to go away.

Hi,
It seems that you might be having allergic bronchitis giving this trouble since long.
Take respiratory tract anti-histamine like Montelukas-LC once daily for 2-3 weeks.
Take some cough suppressant syrup as well.
Avoid cold drinks, junk food.
Avoid dusty, humid atmosphere.
OOk and take care.
