Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Blood in stool can be a common complication of severe
constipation & does not indicate a severe problem in majority of cases. you should first try to treat your constipation by following methods
1. Increase your water intake. You should try to drink between 8 and 10 glasses of water or noncaffeinated beverages each day. Avoid alcoholic beverages and caffeine, which can increase
dehydration.
2. Increase the fibre in your diet. Include raw fruits, vegetables, bran, oats & other whole grains in diet as they are rich in natural fibre.
3. Try gentle exercise & Take a short walk each day. This would be helpful in improving bowel movements.
4. Try a
stool softener, such as Colace, if your stools are very hard.
5. Alternatively laxatives could also be used.
Consult a gastroenterologist if you still feel constipated or you still have bleeding during defecation after employing above methods.
Hope this information helps
Good luck
