What Causes Severe Constipation Along With Pain During Bowel Movement?

I am having reguler motion problem. Even if my stools are little thicker and big I am finding difficult and getting pain and literally remove the stools with finger. I have consulted a doctor who advised to use PROCTOSEDYL ointment externally and use cremaffin at night. He said that I have phisher I have followed those. But even one day if I fail to take cremeffin and inspite of applying proctosedyl, my stools get bigger and thicker and finding very dificult,. i consume about 6 glasses of water and take 2 banana before dinner every day. Instead of making stools thinner is there is any way to do any surgery so that even if the stools are big I can pass motion freely. Please advise

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems you have a severe constipation and it is leading to thick and hard stools that is difficult to evacuate and you are finding it difficult to evacuate your stools as well as there is pain..
In case if you also have a fissure that is a tear in the anoderm that is mucosa of anal canal then only Procosedyl that is a steroid ointment will not work and you need to apply ointments containing Calcium channel blocker like Diltizem, that will help in increasing blood flow in the area and initiate healing..
Sitz bath, that is sitting in warm water tub will help..
As far as surgery to ease in evacuating large stools is concerned it is not that you have got large stools, but the reason is that you have got hard stools due to constipation and surgery is not the option rather smoothening and softening the stools is the best answer..
You can start taking high fibre diet, add more of green leaf vegetables, raw fruits and salads in diet..
Drink plenty of water..
Take fibre supplements like psyllium, stool softeners like Docusate and laxatives like Polyethylene glycol..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
