What Causes Severe Cough Along With Nausea During Second Trimester Of Pregnancy?

Hello I am 21 weeks pregnet.. I ve been sick all week .. I have a very bad cough slight fever off and on shortness of breath and feeling not in the right state of mind at times. I coughed a small portion sometimes of yellowish color fluid. But my cough is not very runny.. I went to E.R.I could breath at one point so they prescribed me an inhaler... 2 days later I m rashes all over.. don t know what it is and I still feel very nauseated very tired and don t know what s going on . I know something is not right my body and pregnacy hasent been same all week.

Hello,

Many women do face issue of hyper emesis episodes even up to 3rd trimester period of respective pregnancy. Issue is pertaining to hormone levels of estrogen and progesterone via pregnancy changes. Measures to help in this regard are:
- Drinking liquids in sessions
- Prescription drugs of anti emetic such as Ondancetron, proton pump inhibitor such as Omeprazole
- Avoid spices, non-veg items in food intake
- Avoidance of stress, anxiety
- Maintain sound, regular sleep of 8 hours
- Control of body weight
- Regular walking in fresh air, meditations, YOGA
- Avoidance of smoking and alcohol if consuming
