What Causes Severe Cough And Chest Pain Long After Treating Pneumonia?
I have had a wheezy cough for almost 6 weeks. I ve had steroids, and 2 types of antibiotics. Pneumonia was diagnosed, but has cleared up. The wheezy cough remains and my chest hurts. My family physician is at a loss and is sending me to a pulmonary doc. Any suggestions. I m miserable

I have gone through your query and being your physician i totally understands your health concerns. what is your age and sex? for how long you are suffering from it? do you smoke cigarette? In my opinion there is need to get the pulmonary function tests so that exact status of your lungs can be appreciated. there is also need to get the chest x ray along with the full blood count and ESR. it may be asthmabronchitis.
