Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain harsh cough along with
metallic taste in mouth can be due to infection and as you already have a recent history of
Bronchitis it seems that your infection is still lingering and the cough and infection is a cause for bad taste in mouth..
You should consult an Otolaryngologist or a Pulmonologist and get evaluated.
He can advise you to get investigations done like
sputum culture, chest x rays, blood tests etc to rule out the exact cause of the symptoms and in case if bronchitis is the cause you can be advised to continue taking the inhaler, in case if bacterial infection is ruled out Antibiotics can be advised..
You should also take cough suppressant containing
Dextromethorphan and
Guaifenesin..
Take anti allergics like Levocetrizine..
Take Mucolytics like Ambroxol and anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Do steam inhalation..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
