General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Presence of blood with cough might be due to the strain and scratching of the throat while coughing but generally indicates that you need to be seen by a doctor and examined. This it to rule out important causes of the blood, like lung infection or other lung problems.

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
