Hi,
Birth control pills usually contain a small amount of human made estrogen and progestin hormones which is used to prevent pregnancy. Estrogen and
progesterone stop the ovaries from releasing eggs and they make changes in the cervix and uterus that lower the chance of a pregnancy.
Side effects of Birth control pills are nausea, vomiting, headache, irregular uterine cycles, abdominal cramps, GIT upset, dizziness, weakness, tiredness,
spotting between periods,
vaginal discharge, vaginal bleeding, fatigue, mood swings,
depression, breast tenderness and enlargement, changes in sleep, weight gain, dry mouth, acnes, facial hair growth, allergic reactions etc. If these side effects persist for long or you think that you might be pregnant, then you should consult your doctor promptly for
medical help.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
