Hi doctor, I often have stomach cramps at my left side abdomen. It happen each time when I go to toilet after I finish doing my business. It will last about 2-5 minutes. Is it dangerous? is there any way to prevent it from happening again because it really hurt.
According to your complain you have problem of abdominal cramps that may be because of gastroenteritis problem.
Indigestion may cause abdominal cramps some time. Intestinal infection like giardiasis may ruled out.
If this is long time problem than think about irritable bowel syndrom. Intestinal condition like ulcerative colitis or diverticulitis may ruled out .
Consent a gastroenterologist for further diagnosis. Abdominal ultra sonography is helpful for further diagnosis. Stool examination test is helpful to detect any infection.
