I suffer severe muscle cramps. They can strike any muscle at any time of the day, although most frequently when I am sitting or laying down. The cramps are quite severe. They can twist my feet and hands. I am at a loss to understand why. My blood analysis shows no deficiencies, and I stay well hydrated.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You should be run test for myopathy, serum potassium, cpk total,HB,sickle cell, myoglobin level and to confirm its really a muscle cramp or jerking movement as you mention twisting. So please consult physician for that.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
