What Causes Severe Depression Along With Motivation For Self Injury?

So I have depression and I self harm. I have lots of cuts all over my legs and they aren't very deep, but the blade I used was dirty/rusty. My legs burn whenever I touch the cuts and whenever I move it hurts. I don't really know what to do. Can you help me?
