What Causes Severe Diarrhea And Dehydration After Taking Clindamycin For Chronic Constipation?

I am chronically constipated forever. Nothing new there. However, I was on clindamycin for 3 weeks and 2 weeks after stopping i developed severe watery flaky diarrhea and had to be hospitalized for dehydration, only to improve with cipro and flagyl. Stool Cxs are negative though and normal WBC.....

Hi...antibiotics are known to cause diarrhea as they cause change in the microbial environment of the colon...start a preprobiotics and for your chronic constipation try levosulpride tablets and high fiber diet...
