What Causes Severe Diarrhoea And Pain Below The Rib Cage?
I m a 38 year old female and I ve been experiencing severe stomach pain just below my rib cage, after every meal. It s been going on for 4 straight days now. Along with this pain, I m having diarrhea about 3 times per day...ultrasound came back clear, CT scan showed several cysts on my spleen, a mass on my adrenal gland and moderate fecal matter in my colon. My doctor thought gallbladder during my visit to his office, but after receiving results from CT scan he say s he s stumped and my next resort would be to see a surgeon. Should I be at all concerned with the CT results, and should I push for a hidascan to test function of gallbladder? Is there something my doctor is missing?

Read and reviewed your query and health concerns.
You seems to suffer from -?Giardiasis /Gastric Viral Flue/ or Amoebiais-with entero-colitis -from street food lately.
Other causes-like Cl.diff enterocolitis,IBS with D needs to be ruled out.
In the given scenario of -left spleen cysts? and -Adrenal mass -Possibility of Adrenal endothelial Cyst-with intracystic hemorrhage-needs to be ruled out.
Tests for Hypersecretion of adrenal hormones needs to be done,as a cause of this-diarrhea with severe Stomach pain. Pet Scan would fix the diagnosis.
Other causes for such complaints as diabetes, hyper-thyroid and other causes as discussed above need to be ruled out , investigated and treated accordingly by Consults and Second opinion with Endocrinologist and GI Surgeon/Physicians.
