What Causes Severe Dizziness And Elevated Heart Rate?

My boyfriend, while doing yard work, experienced severe dizziness and rapid heart rate. He came home and I took his blood pressure. It is usually around 158/79. Today it was 102/50, then 100/55, then 109/50, dizziness is gone, he is fatigued, only ate l/2 a sandwich because the left side of his mouth was tired of chewing.

Hello,

How old is he? Have you observed any deviation of mouth to left or right? Any drooling of saliva along with difficulty in chewing means you have to consult your neurophysician immediately there's is a possibility of facial nerve palsy.

From history, it is difficult to say which type of facial palsy so consult your neurophysician, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
