What Causes Severe Dizziness?

Hi I am Marion and I am 58 years old. I have been very dizzy for about four or 5 days now and I cannot even stand without the room spinning. I went to a Doctor in South Korea 5 days ago and he said there was a redness in my ear. The day I went to the Doctor I couldn t walk or stand without the world turning upside down. I have since left and now in Thailand. It seemed to subside for a day (the day I flew) I might have an ear infection. I went to the pharmacy here in Thailand with help from the hotel staff, as I cannot stand or walk without falling over. Yesterday and today seem to be worse. The pharmacy gave me Serc 24mg, Lefloxin 500mg and Dimenine 50mg. I am taking Catafast and Valoid as well. I have taken all my meds (Which I started this morning) and I am not feeling any relief from my symptoms. How long will it take for the meds to work as I cannot even walk to the shops to get food. Its very awkward as I am in a hotel with not much English spoken.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Good day and thank you for posting this question. I will advice you to see an ENT (ear, nose and throat) doctor. You seems to have Vertigo. An ENT doctor would be best to see, he will do a thorough examination and investigations.
I hope it helps.
Thank you.
