What Causes Severe Dry Cough In Spite Of Taking Ambrodil Syrup?
Hello, I am having severe dry cough from last week. I consulted dotor and he adviced to take AMBRODIL. I am using this medicine from last 2 days. but there is no Improvement.could you please suggest me what I have to do. due to this severe cough I am having pain in my throat

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe dry cough in spite of taking Ambrodil syrup which are pointing towards condition known as severe upper respiratory tract infection. You may have lung infection or bronchitis. Need not to worry. You should avoid hot, sharp and spicy foods. Mast cell stabilizers such as sodium cromoglycate is effective to prevent infection. Do warm saline gargles with pinch of salt water. Take expectorants. Steam inhalation is very effective for you. Do warm saline rinses , take rest. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist without any delay . Doctor may order blood test , throat swab test or virus culture test. You should get an x ray of the chest and Immunoglobulin G levels checked. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics penicillin at least for 10 days along with decongestants and mucolytic agents.
