What Causes Severe Dry Mouth With Midepigastric Pain While Sleeping?
Woke up in the middle of the night with extreme dry mouth. So I got up drank some water and went back to bed. Woke up again a few hours later with misepigatric pain. Worse when I am up and lying on side... Now I am hearing ringing in my ears... Don t know if I should go into the dr.
You have a mid epigastric pain, which is worsening by lying onside and on upright position. If you had come to my clinic, i would have few things in mind to clear first. 1. The most important thing would be cardiac issue, i would have done an ECG and a chest X-Ray to rule out 2. Second thing is a hiatal hernia, which can also causes this type of pain 3. Third is GERD or Peptic Ulcer disease which shows similar symptoms You should consult a doctor for proper check up and investigations.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Zia Ul Haq, General & Family Physician
