What Causes Severe Fatigue Along With Drowsiness And Elevated Blood Pressure Levels?

I am 60 years old and noticed that I am getting winded too much. I seem to be tired and drowsy in the evenings and sometimes during the day. My bloodpressure is higher than it used to be. greater 140. Is it possible that I have beginnings of heart problems?

hello welcome to healthcaremagic
yes, it is very much possible that you have some underlying heart disease.
however the symptoms of heart disease are fatigue, dyspnoea, chest pain, oedema on the body, palpitations, tachycardia.

i would like to know the following history
history of any of the above symptoms(apart from those which you mentioned)
history of heart disease in family.
your bmi
history of drug/alcohol abuse/smoking.
history of any other severe systemic disease.

your bp is high. u should be started on amlodipine. however, pls get your bp charting done before you start any medications. also get following investigations done
ECG
ECHO
CHEST X RAY
HBA1c
try to avoid heavy work and pls visit a nearby physician asap for clinical evaluation.
i hope this helps you.
please feel free to revert back in case of any doubts/concerns
thank you.
