What Causes Severe Fatigue, Joint Stiffness In Hands After Delivery?
Hi doctor ,i delivered a baby 3 and half months back .then for 2 and half months i am suffering with severe fatigue ,body aches joint stiffness in my hands when i rest for long.and numbish feeling in my right side of back.and now some odd feeling in my scalp as if its being pulled slightly .my cbc crp and thyroid levels were normal.i am hypothyroid patient.my gp told to come back after 3 months if symptom persist. But i am really worried.
Some women do experience these symptoms post delivery and there is nothing to worry about. I would advise you to follow a healthy lifestyle including a healthy nutritious balanced diet with lots of fruits and vegetables, reduce intake of caffeine, do yoga or stretching and strengthening exercises, stay physically active and take vitamin D3 with calcium tablets for 3 months. Gradually, your symptom will reduce and go off.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
