General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Fever over 5 days will need some investigations and it seems you have already had some done. Did the child have other examinations other then the liver tests? Did he have a urinalysis, chest xray or complete blood test with ERS?

Generally treatment is directed to the possible cause of the fever after a good history and physical examination and also the help of the test results. It is common for the appetite to be low and to continue to be low while the child is having fever. It is important that he drinks plenty, frequent small amount of fluids and you can try to offer food in frequent small amounts as well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
