What Causes Severe Fever, Dizziness And Loss Of Appetite?

my daughter is almost 16 yrs old. she is experiencing loss of appetite, sleeping, dizziness and seeing black when she stands up, and I have to force her and make sure she is getting enough fluids in her. have not noticed a fever yet. she had the same symptoms last year and come to find out it was a virus and it lasted 2 weeks. the only thing is the doctor she saw did not pinpoint any specific kind of virus. just wondering what kind of virus could cause these symptoms and last so long? thank you, marietta

Hello,

Without clinical examination,it is difficult to make out what is the possible etiology. However Full blood count should be undertaken to rule out any severe anemia which may also cause dizziness, black-out, etc.

Most of the viral illnesses need only symptomatic treatment. It is better to consult a doctor apart from your home remedies.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
