What Causes Severe Flank Pain On Left Side Of Abdomen?
I m having terrible flank pain on the left side of abdomen. It is also swollen to touch and to the naked eye. I have a CT scheduled in a few days but the pain is getting worse. I have a fatty and enlarged liver and I also have pancreatic lesions which are pseudocysts although at first was thought to be IPMN s. Any advice on what this pain could be? Thanks so much!
I have gone through your query, i will try to give you suggestion which will be helpful to you. Severe pain in flank could be because of many reasons like urinary tract infection, renal or ureteric caliculi, nonspecific colitis or due to your pancreatic lesions. As you are already scheduled for CT it will help in diagnosing the exact cause of pain. Meanwhile you can take antispasmodic for pain relief.
This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.
I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you. I will be glad to help you in case if you have any further queries.
Wish you speedy recovery. Take care.
