What Causes Severe Gastroparesis And ADD After A Concussion?

My son suffered a concussion. It took over a year for him to be cleared. He developed severe gastroparesis and is now suffering symptoms that mimic dyslexia and ADD. Our family doctor thinks it is likely due to damage of a system of the body. I can not remember what she called it. My question is, what system is she talking about? I would like to learn more about it.

Hi,

I understand your concern and would explain that his symptoms could be related to autonomic nervous system dysfunction. It is a part of the nervous system, which controls the organs function.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
