What Causes Severe Groin Pain That Aggravates With Walking?

I spent 8 hours in the hospital last night due to a severe groin pain. It came on quickly 3 days ago. sharp like a knife, put me to the floor with pain . I can walk a couple feet then it is like a knife jabbing in groin area ( right side ) No back pain. I think a pinched nerve. going for a CT scan next week. hard to walk at all with all the pain. any ideas. Hospital checked the vessels and apparently that is clear ( whatever that meant) maybe for clotting ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that your problem might be due to,
1, acute ureteric colic due to infection or stone in kidney came down.
2, acute appendicitis,
3,pinched nerve pressure.
consult surgeon and get examined.
Ultra sound of abdomen, routine urine check up and physical examination will be of much value.
Ok and take care.
