What Causes Severe Hair Loss After Taking Diovan Hct 320/25 And Metoprolol 100 Mg?
I have been on divan hct320/25, metoprol 100 mg x2 a day, and am experiencing severe hair loss. Always gad very thick hair. I am 67 healthy woman in all areas except for blood pressure. Also just started clonidine .01 x2 a day, to help lower pressure. Bad dreams, scream out at night. My hair loss really concerns me. Pressure is 148/87, still not great. I ve been on pro cardio, nefidepine, nothing lowers it and side affects of leg and ankle swelling is terrible w channel blockers. Dr said cannot tolerate. Seems I cannot tolerate much. What can you recommend?
Hair loss is reported in case of Diovan (Valsartan), especially after long term use. Though the hair loss reported is less severe. If you are experiencing hair loss to the extent that you are seeing bald patches or are very concerned, I would recommend consulting your doctor about changing the drug.
Hope this answers your question, thank you.
