What Causes Severe Hair Loss Along With Itchiness In The Scalp?

I am a 57 yr old female I have been experiencing hair loss and itchy scalp there seems to be no visible red marks on scalp. I had a full work up on blood work including thyroid everything came back normal. Very worried about my hair loss and suggestions on where to go from here? Thank you

Hair loss with itchy scalp shows that very likely there is some irritation of the scalp that might be causing the symptoms.
It might be good to try some ketonazol shampoo for a few weeks and see if there is a difference, as this would treat any possible fungal infection. Other causes might be eczema or similar conditions so treatment towards them should be considered if the ketonazol shampoo fails.
