Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 65 year old female. I tripped and fell 2 weeks ago and hit my temple. It was bruised and scraped. I started having a headache a few hours later. I have had the headache constantly since then although pain medicine does seem to help for a bit. The headaches do not seem to be increasing in severity. I wonder what symptoms would warrant being seen.
Persistent headache would warrant being seen, it is actually one of the indicators for imaging after minor head ache.
It is one of the criteria in the New orleans criteria for ct imaging after head injury. This means that you should consider seeing your doctor for an assessment.
I hope this helps
