Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Headache Along With Tremors In Fingers?
My 21 year old granddaughter has just described to me that her right side of her head is throbbing and while she ws driving her fingers began to move like she was playing a piano and she had no control of them. She said she used all her force to try and make them stop but nothing helped. They stopped after awhile but scared her very bad.
I would recommend your daughter to take Ibuprofen 600 mg and Tylenol 500 mg every 6 hours after food to help with the headaches and try to rest and relax. Very likely the movement of the fingers is a tremor and triggered by anxiety.
If the headache is not better with the above treatment in a day or is any worse or the tremors come back, it is recommended that she has a visit with the doctor and a thorough physical exam, including a neurological exam.
I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
