What Causes Severe Headache And High Blood Pressure After Taking Lisinopril 20 Mg And Simvastatin 20 Mg?

48 yr old female, 5 5 , 128lbs, on 20 mg lisinopril and 20 mg simvastatin. The past few weeks I ve had episodes of high blood pressure (150/80 avg), heart rhythm off in spurts, headache. It happened several days in a row then stopped and I was doing fine. Today it s back headache, heart palpitations and my bp is all the way down to 107/60. Dr can t see me for awhile. Should I just try and take it easy or go to er. I ve taken an aspirin today.

Your body mass index is OK.minor irregularities in BP are common but make sure that your are taking medicines regularly and doing regular exercise with compliance to daily salt restriction..107/60 is perfectly OK for me..take tab paracematol for headache at the moment..for palpitations I would advice you to go to emergency department and have an ECG..I hope it will be normal.have your BP regularly checked and make a chart of it and discuss the variations with your GP so that he could adjust the dose of lisinopril accordingly..
Mean while I will advise you to take it easy..
