What Causes Severe Headache And Sleepiness?

I started having sever headaches and was placed on medication for them that has help control them .But all the sudden I started falling asleep all the time and was told I have neropitcy? had a sleep study and I have a C pact machine I feel I am smoother when I use it and have tried different mask and so far it the same . I do not understand why I started with headaches and then this falling asleep in the last 4 to 6 months.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe headache and sleepiness. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to certain reasons like migraine , dehydration or sinusitis . Sometimes there is also reasons like acoustic neuroma which can cause such symptoms . I would suggest you to consult neurologist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , MRI along with taking history . Doctor may prescribe medicine like vasograine along with anti inflammatory and betblockers . Doctor may also refer you to ENT specialist for sinusitis . For now take proper rest , drink plenty of water and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
