Goodday, i been having headaches for about 3 months but with a bad toothache that whenever i drink cold or anything sweet i get excruciating pain i went to the dentist he gave me amoxicillin and the headache went away as well as the toothe ache but after a couple weeks it came back, the headache is like a burning sensation it doesnt feel like pain but just burning with kinda tension feeling. I dont know as well if becAuse i floss vigorously till inbetween my gums bleed. My question is can those thing be the cause of my headaches?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe headache and toothache which seems to be due to dental abscess formation which is putting pressure as infection extending from tooth to region below root apex leading to pus formation. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult a oral physician once and get proper cleaning of the area done. Chew on citrus substances. Yes headache is due to pressure build up only. Go for root canal treatment of concerned tooth to prevent further spread of infection. Go for irrigation of area with hydrogen peroxide, betadine and saline. You should take a combination of Diclofenac and Ibuprofen to relieve pain.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
